About the Attorney

Tayrin Cardenas Wittenstein, called “Ty” by most, launched Cardenas Witt Law in January 2023, having had 12 years’ experience as a trial attorney on the other side of the aisle. Working as a prosecutor for over a decade, Ty has seen the worst of the worst and the best of the best. And that is where she is most comfortable.

As a kid, Ty often dreamed of growing up to be trial lawyer, furiously defending people accused of serious crimes and fighting for the pursuit of justice. She never veered from this vision of becoming an criminal defense attorney and she set her career plans in motion from the very beginning of her undergraduate studies. Ty graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts. After learning to command the stage and project her voice so all would listen, she attended the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas in 2009. Go Horns!
